Sand blowing

Has anyone ever tried using their jetpowered outboard or jet boat to move sand on a wreck site? I think it would be possible to hook a 2" or 3" fire hose up to your jet outboard lower unit to blow sand or use with a dredge. Anyone had any experience with this?
