Any suggestions on a decent sand scoop? Hunt lot of dry sand on beaches, but get into the surf occasionally. Want something with long enough handle, sturdy, but something that won't break the bank.
Thanks,

Thanks Fletch...looks like a great scoop!

Nice scoop the 733 , Light weight, 100 bucks....But
OS, take and spend a few extra dollars for one that won't miss that gold ring in the surf. Five inch's wide is a tuff scoop to nail gold with in the ruffer surf, Calm waters, less of a problem. I started out with a RTG long nose 5 inch's wide and 14 long....SS., Loved that baby on the wetsand but when it came to surf hunting, the first shot has to be a good one or you could lose it...I missed a few, those would have paid for the bigger scoop. Good Luck..

Make your own out of 6" PVC pipe with cap on one end and a wooden handle then drill 3/8 holes around the pipe and cap. Cost about $15.00. Strong enough to push the scoop with your foot. A little heavy but I drag my behind me anyways. Then if you find you really want to spend a lot of time at the beach then buy a better one. I will attach a picture of mine later.
