Location
east coast florida
Detector(s) used
Minelab excalibur 1000, CTX 3030
I love my sand shark but would like to upgrade the coil. I am unsure of which one to get. I have my eyes on the cleansweep or the 10½" Round Printed Spiral. Anyone with either one of these care to share their thoughts?
Thanks

stitchlips,

I would be happy to give you some recommendations but first: what are you using the coil for, what location are you in, and do you have any limiting factors? Joe

As Joe asked, what are you wanting to use the coil for? The round coil will be deeper than the Clean Sweep, but the CSC will cover more ground quickly. I'd ask Joe to send both of them as somewhere down the road you will need both. One find will pay for the coil or even a new detector.

I hunt only on the beach in and out of the water wet and dry sand and have been fairly successful with it. I am on the east coast of florida just south of Daytona. I am not sure what you mean by limiting factor. I hope this helps. Thanks

stitchlips,

O.K.,in and out of the warm salt water/dry sand. No surf I would presume? How is the trash situation? Here's a little comparison:
Pro Con
10.5" Cheaper,better in surf,deeper less coverage,

3x18" * Up to 7 times the coverage* bridges multiple trash, not for depth,NG in surf
,heavier,$$$.

As Sandman was saying,if your going to be successful you need the right equipment for the job at hand. Perhaps both coils would be the way to go? Joe
