The Sand Shark as compared to the other PI's of the same price range ranks very high. The battery usage seems longer than most others for some reason. Being a PI, it is very deep and the discrimination issue still holds true. In saltwater coasts or in the water it excels at locating deep targets in the sifting sands where items get buried. It does not do as well in freshwater mainly because Iron objects in freshwater don't erode as fast and bobby pins can last decades. Being a Tesoro, it has a Lifetime Warranty if you ever need it.
