Hi,

Originally I posted this in the what's it worth section but after realizing, I have no clue what it's made of or if it's truly for perfume holders I decided it fit better here.

My original post is here

So that said and my mistake, can anyone tell me what this Santa may be made out of or if it's originally to hold perfume? The Santa has a feel of rough porcelain and sound when tapped on but it's grainier than porcelain. It has mold lines but looks like it was done by someone not mass produced.

Thank you.

If the other needs to be deleted I will provide another picture here no problem.

I think you might have a milk glass Santa. It's nice!

Mrs.O

That's one to add for sure. The only thing is it's not smooth at all (I mean , it's smooth but not near glass smooth) so is some milk glass rough? I honestly don't know. It has very small quartz like sparkles in the light. It's very hard to explain and the best description I can come up with is a rough porcelain mixed with sand if that makes any sense. I know it's old because there was an old box they came in, not original to the santa but had writing on it that said, I hope you enjoy the Santas and perfume and a faded date of what looks like 1940's.

Here is a picture of the bottom, maybe that will help and thank you very much for the help.
