Just some rock porn.. 
From India, Ruby rough, only heat treated. I could not see any glass, flux or similar
Quality varies, semi-facet to facet rough. Some dark pieces have a "crust" of a different mineral (Limonite?) or are very saturated in colour.
Sapphire rough, probably unheated, India.
Rhodolite, untreated, India.
Rhodolite, untreated, Africa.
