Sat. at Jackson-(update wt. Sun.pics)

Had a great time today at the group hunt. Seeing old faces, and meeting some new, that I've felt I have got to know a bit here on T-Net. We started off in an area that would have been the last place I would have gone to dig 100 (year old +) coins. We said we would spend 10 minutes there, but it turned into an all day long feeding frenzy. I never even stopped to go get my drink, which was only 2 mins away at the van. After seeing so many great finds coming up, I was glad to score the Rosie. Also had 9 wheats, '17 (the '27, not pictured) '30, 41, 47 and some unreadable dates. Plus one of my green cookies cleaned up as a "02 Injun.

-Sun. update-

Well Brett twisted my arm to go back to the 'ole Jackson Park lagoon. Yeah right,, I was up at 4:30 am and we hit the beach around 6. The digs were a bit slower today but there will still amazing finds to be had by many. No silver for me today, just a couple of Buff's, 19s and 23 and a couple of CJ toys. (see below) HH!

I'm glad you scored some silver and that sweet injun. . . I still don't know what my "greenies" are yet

Did you use Peroxide to clean that injun? . . . It turned out great

Great meeting you and Neil also! On the Injun, I just scraped of the major stuff with a fingernail and took some steel wool to it. All the other wheats were impossible to clean this way, but I scraped 'em down with an old hotel tag to to see if they were wheats and what dates. 4 of them turned out to be Memorials.

It was great finally meeting some of you guys and hunting with the rest of you that i've alraeady met. It is always a blast and a pleasure!

Congrats to everyone on those sweet finds! 30+ Silvers! I don't know when that's gonna happen again. Too tired now, but I will post my finds tomorrow when I return from my fishing trip.

I can't believe you guys were still pulling silver out after Saturday! I tried to get up on Sunday morning to head back out there with you guys but my body said noway. I ended up sleeping most of Sunday. Man I'm getting old!!!
