Saturday 2/27/10 finds

Saturday I met up with an old school mate and we went to some fields I had never been to before. Conditions of the field wasnt so good.....I only found one small base. So later I went to my trusty sand field and found a few things. What do you think the thing in the last pic is? It is copper and as you can see by the bead...it is very small. What is it Also, found the one piece of flint that is almost like a cut out plug?? What do you suppose that is? Thanks for lookin....

That cut plug look like a broken section of a blade or tool. I see that break pattern from time to time and have no idea what causes. I've always assumed it was a break pattern and not intentional but that's just a guess and not based on any facts.

I got out yesterday as well and found exactly nothing. Still better than not looking though.

yes...just being out is fun for me. That plug is weird....it really doesnt look broke....no idea though...first one like that I have seen or found.

Good looking material. You had a good day. The ground looks frozen? Maybe the cut out plug was going to be like a scraper kinda like the horse hoove type?
I would post that tag in the what is it section on here. It looks old and you may want to hit that field with a metal detector. Thanks for sharin !
