Saturday eve and Sunday morn...silver and gold

Got out for about an hour just before dark Saturday.Went to a local park and instead of hunting the open spaces I went straight into the woods.I was wandering aimlessly and checking around any older trees.My first good hit (at the base of a tree) turned up 10 memorials and 1 wheat from the same hole.I then headed down a mucky deer trail, got a good hit and dug a 54 rosie...cool.About fifty foot further down the trail I got another good hit and dug an excellent 40D Merc.Both the dimes were at about 4" in black muck which didnt seem to bother them.The Merc shows no sign of wear and the obverse still shows lustre!That was it for Saturday but Sunday morning found me at a local beach at about 7AM.There was another MDer there doing the sand so I jumped right in the water and over the next couple of hours pulled a few coins plus several pot metal sandal charms, one silver sandal charm,two junk toe rings, one sterling toe ring, One sterling Avon ring with stone and a mans white gold band with three small diamonds.I talked a bit with the lady searching the sand.Said she only found a couple coins but I think she was holding out on me.Anyway ...on my way home , I stopped at a razed site for a few minutes.Found a Chesterfield lighter, a Ford motor Co. tag, and a two pound chunk of copper.The tag doesnt appear to be a tool tag.If anyone has a clue , let me know.Seems like Ford may have had a T-2 transmissionWell, thanks for looking.Hope you enjoy the pics and good luck to all.......Joe
