So after an unplanned break.. today we were back in the fields 😆 xx

It was a beautiful sunny day … but lots of rain showers so we went back to the fields next to the village xx

Beautiful silver button, musket balls, thimble and top of another, buttons, 4 loops, and a 1917 penny xx

Despite the rain it was great to be back out in the fresh air doing what we love xx

The button with the iron look is 17th C, we had 1 slightly more patterned type but without the loop. Its rare for the loop to survive on this period of button. Nice.

The thimble is my favorite. Is it copper? It would make a great up-grade for a Monopoly piece.

Ah thank you! Xx. The fields have natural springs in them, and the village water pump, so maybe from a fancy lady stopping for a drink many moons ago! One can only imagine The story behind each find! xx
