Saturday's Hunt: Silver & IHC

I was able to get infamous TNetter, Smittyman to take me hunting on Saturday. The day started off horribly, as Smittyman found TWO good coins amongst the holes that I had just dug. He believes I missed the coins, I believe I subconsciously left them for him out of pity. The day continued down hill rapidly, as P@tch had his wife drop him off, so that he could join us for the afternoon portion of the hunt.

The day's take included:

- Red Goose Shoes token.
- Copper button
- .50 Caliber bullet (Deer hunting)
- 1908 IHC
- Kiddie shoe buckle
- 1952 Rosie
- 1969 Dog license
- Aluminum insurance ad thimble
- Real ruby, pot metal setting
- Monogram kids junk ring
- A couple of marbles



I have found a bunch of these Red Goose Shoes tokens, all were aluminum, this one is brass. It came out of the ground with a green patina... I was certain it was going to be an old coin...



This little rascal has seen better days, but I like it none the less.

Looks like you did not pass on all the good targets Tom. You still pulled your share of keepers on the New Years Eve day hunt. Not a bad way to end the season, a silver rosie, an Indian, cool token, and other nice finds.

Smittyman is a lion. We all strive to be able to simply eat the scraps of meat he leaves behind. He has mind control too, and mind ***** other hunters so they leave great stuff behind for the alpha hunter.

Congrats on the finds, Tom. Isn't it great to have weather that will allow for a hunt on New Year's Eve? By the way, if folks are using 50 caliber rounds to hunt deer where you live, then they must be the size of woolly mammoth!
