Yesterday we braved the blazing sun and headed out, the ground is now rock hard, and the temp was 28 degrees! 😅 xx

Found a gorgeous spindle whorl, 2 keys, small musket balls, 2 bits of crotal bells, a modern crucifix (no hallmark) to lead nails (?) have iron in them, buttons, small badge and a couple of other bits (?) xx

heading out again today, trying to persuade himself to go in the stream….. he is not keen! 😆 xx

Well done on the days hunting, sorry to hear that the ground is getting hard.
That is certainly a lovely spinning whirl, not many are found like that for sure.
Were the 2 clock keys near each other?
looks like watch winder with the little badge.

Just imagine swinging the coil and looking up at that castle.
I'm not sure I'd even hear the beeping as the mind would be wondering something bad.

The keys are barrel tap keys. (late 18th -19th C)
You have a broken Tudor Clothes Fastener next to a 17th C Leather Mount.
