Saw an eagle today

Took this a couple hours ago. This eagle was just looking over the area perched high in an old cottonwood tree.

Every time I see an eagle I understand why America adopted it as the National Bird / Symbol.

Something about them just draws the attention that it in fact commands without doing anything but sit there. heh

Thanks AARC, Indeed Eagles are so majestic. I believe Ben Franklin was in favor of the Turkey as our nation's symbol, but some other founding fathers felt otherwise.

Thank God Ben did not get his way... sheesh he made the 100 dollar bill... and beings only 2 people I think that were not presidents made spots on money... that was good enough tribute. :P

Something about the turkey... no offense turkeys... would not have "cut it".
