Say hello to my little friend

I took this photo a while back, he was in the way of the daily construction of the house one morning. I thought it would be best to move him along before some work boot squashed it, so it crawled up on my hand and he just seemed to like the warmth as he didn't want to crawl off again. I can really see where Hollywood got some ideas for the space movie characters.

Those praying mantis are neat critters.....there's actually a style of Chinese martial arts based on their movements.

Good picture. Those guys are normally around the yard in the month of September, but I've only seen one in the yard so far. Maybe getting to cold for any now.
