Scabbard Hook?

Need help. Both Brass. Found w several colonial button and 1749 Brit penny

Item 1 is half of a cloak clasp. Could be colonial up through Victorian era.

Item 2 looks big to be a scabbard hook. I would say horse equipment - brass snap hook.



Hard to tell much from your pic.

The pictures are not very clear.

It's too big to be an early Clothes Fastener, however, it might be 17th C. By the 18th C, they had switch to buttons (for the most part).

Need clearer pictures of both sides.
