✅ SOLVED Scabbard Throat Help

Hi,

I found this on a homesite from the mid 1800s that has been lived in until just a couple of years ago. Can someone help me ID this for age and if it was on an actual scabbard or just a child's toy? I'm leaning more towards child's toy due to the glitzy / cliche nature of the samurai figure, but am really hoping it's something more than that! Not magnetic at all, no marks on the inside anywhere I can see. Any help would be appreciated!!!

Reminds me of what you see with decorative/display/reproduction Samurai/Katana swords.

it looks to be cast zinc with chrome plating, from Hoover Boys FB page.
