JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) — Strange sea creatures that resemble large pink thimbles are showing up on the coast of southeast Alaska for the first time after making their way north along the West Coast for the last few years.
Scientists say the creatures are pyrosomes, which are tropical, filter-feeding spineless creatures usually found along the equator. They appear to be one long pink tube, but in reality, they're thousands of multi-celled creatures mushed together, generally about 6 inches (15 centimeters) long.

Must be Overpopulating their Natural Habitat

I don't know if anyone else has seen that new movie Life.. but, spoiler alert, we're f***ed now.

Preview from Life (rated R) Viewer discretion is advised. Not for the faint of heart.

True as true could be! A buddy of mine found a little shrimp in neck deep water down the Baja. We had a trunk full of bottles full of formaldehyde a lot of them tequilia bottles. The hardest thing getting back was keeping the Mexican border guys from sampling to see if we had over our two liters. Turns out this shrimp hadn't been classified before so Rod got a shrimp named after him. Always made me think, if we don't know what's in 5' of water, then I guess we know nada zip nothing about the rest. And if we know 0% about the ocean how smart are these scientists? (Hint - 3rd graders got more sense)
