Scoop turning hand black

I love my RTG big 7 aluminun scoop, everytime I use it my hand turns black, its hard to wash off. I have washed and polished it hopeing that would help but no. I hunted 3 hours last night and my hand was a mess, any tips would be great. I know wearing a glove would help but in south Florida less is better.

They are (at least) 2 heat shrink tube quality ...
The very shiny, crispy, black one. (Witch is not what you need)

The black hands issue happened to me also and tape just kept coming off. Now I wear two kinds of gloves, a heavy leather work glove for the scoop hand and a thinner bicycle glove with open tips on the other so I can adjust the detector settings or pick up fine items. The combination is not overly hot even here in Florida.
