Headed out after work for a short hunt. Got some nice clad and pulled out a nice 10K Gold signet ring. I used my favorite coil, the concentric 9" x 12", which is my favorite for coin and ring hunting. It just ID's so much better then the DD coil, especially with bottle caps.

about that coil,do you notice an increase in depth also how do you compare weight to 5x8dd?

Very nice ring John! You seem to do pretty well with that 9 x 12 coil. I am going to have to get one of these for my AT Gold. GL & HH! :thumbsup:

I find the coil actually lighter. The depth seems the same. or maybe slightly deeper due to it's larger size.

That is a stock 9 x 12 Garrett Coil Cover.
