I was on the road this last week and only had a little time to hunt, but hit one small outlet that's been a good place to find treasure over the years. Its a little sterling silver basket made by Whiting Mfg. of NY. I believe by the double headed griffin mark it can't be later made than 1926. It was priced at $6.50 and weighs exactly 100 grams on my scale. It is monogrammed, but sure clean up nice and with no major damage it's a rather nice little piece of silver.
