Scouting outside a ghostly town 👻

Pretty sure the rifle cartridges are modern. They where surface finds. Just really beat up. They have been there awhile.

I didn’t have the detector. This was purely a locating and scouting trip for this ghost town. But, I did pick up these several items.

Ran them over the detector coil when I got home. That crushed metal registers on the TID between a modern day penny and a pre 1983 copper penny. My guess it has some copper and silver in it. You scrape one side it’s copper you scrape the other it’s silver. It‘s pretty heavy for it’s size.

Productive day considering this was a scouting trip designed to locate this ghost town for future detecting when the temps cool 👍

Without seeing the head stamps I,d guess the cases are 7.62x39 or 35 Remington.

Nice setup. Did you have to change settings to go from the XY to the numbers ?

No, just tap right button over to next screen. You would create your own programs then switch between to two with the touch of that button.
It’s very simple to do and learn 👍

AK-47 or SKS most commonly use this caliber.
