I've been getting out on short hunts and making some finds. This area has produced my oldest coins. It was an old farm/guest house into the 1600s then used as farm land ever since. Here's the relics. A hand worker pin, wax seal matrix 1700s, small button 1700s, small tap, bronze ring, small bowl weight, cross, brass wedding band, older buckle and a Nazi brooch.

I think this is some kind of handworkers pin, not real sure.

Here is a close up of the wax seal matrix, initials P.S. he looks to have been a carpenter. I mirrored the image so it is legible.

Some of the coins I found, upper left is a French Napoleon 1856, the oldest coin, a silver is a 1766. HH, Mike

Maybe I'm seeing things, but your wax seal matrix looks a lot like possibly Masonic in nature?

Awesome digs.

I would have to agree, this definitely looks like a Masonic compass, but also looks Russian with the hammer and sickle.

Very nice, without checking it maybe late 17th C, not sure, anyway its a great find plus lots of bonus coins etc...

Congrats on your finds!

You had a very good day with three silvers and the seal matrix ring! Congrats! I had a "Tag der Arbeit" brooch on one of my last hunts too. I guess they were thrown away as far as possible....

Thanks all! I also thought the ring may be Masonic but really looks more like Carpenter tools. The area of Germany where I live was founded by Czechs so there is definitely some Eastern influence.A forum friend ID'ed the handworker pin, it was issued in the winter of 1933 to volunteers, under the hands is a Swastika, hard to make out even on a well preserved pin. Here's a better picture, "DEINE HAND DEM HANDWERK". : WINTERHILFSWERK - REICHSSTRASSENSAMMLUNG : Deutsches Reich 1933 - 1945 - André Hüsken Militaria. HH, Mike

Great Hunt and Finds ! those Third Reich pins ,and tinnies must be an easy find in Germany .. Congrats on the matrix ring .. spectacular ring Bavaria Mike
