I'm new to roll hunting, and just came back from the bank with $1000 in halves, what am I looking for exactly? is it all Pre 64' coins? what year is a good cutoff point to start with?

1970 and older have silver in them. 1964 and older are 90% silver. 1965-1970 are 40% silver.

Someone recently posted a lot of info on what to look for...halves, dimes, nickels, pennys...I'm too lazy to look it up! Our group needs a FAQ. Good luck!!! HH
