Out to the swimming hole again sifting sand. 5.82 in clad, 7 wheats, Sterling 925 ring, pocket knife, and the 1877 dime.

It's mashed up, but oldest coin I've found and first silver in the 1800s.

Nice going on the sifting, the dime has sure seen an accident. The little Marcasite heart ring is a nice recovery as well.
 

Not sure what happened to the dime but I would pound it out flat with a block of wood and a hammer. Would still be very presentable.
