Found this today, super happy about it. We hit a new permission, 1830 farm. Everything was gone by 1920... House, barns, everything. I was excited to work an area that predated aluminum trash. Turns out the square nails close to power lines were equally as challenging. Working an area by an old tree I came across this. 1875 Seated Liberty Half Dollar that the reverse was wiped, fancy added & initialized. The obverse is mint with the exception of where the pin was soldered on.

Very Cool!!! Congrats!!!'

Banner! Love tokens are sweet and hard to find. Most of them are smaller denominations. I'm not even sure I've ever seen a half made into a love token! Awesome find!

Cool a Love Token made into a badge. That's a little different!

rare and unique, what a cool find. big time gratz

Must’ve really been in love to make one out of a HALF at that time! What a fantastic find, someone spent some time working on that one! You can be proud of that one for a VERY long time…🤠

That person meant a whole lot to the other to have something like that done- the coin side is perfect save for where the pin was mounted, and the design and initials is incredible- amazing find!!

As a numismatist, it makes me cringe, :violent1: but, as jewelry, it's pretty cool! :icon_thumleft:

What a beauty, rare as hen's teeth.
Congrats on the recovery.

I got a Seated Quarter many years back, still have the memory as it was this past season.

Congratulations on a great find! Thanks for posting.
