I am pleasantly pleased with the detail which never was visible to my eye before.

Definately Seated by the back.



Unless I'm mistaken Busts have an Eagle on the Back.

and there were no Barber "Half" Dimes

Ok folks think it is a Seated with one vote for Barber. Should we shoot for guessing the date now?

The United States is on the reverse of the coin. I can not currently find my red book for picture reference. But does not that mean 1859 or older? I could be mistaken. Third picture down shows the States and the D from (dime) the clearest. Can others see it also?

It is out of shape also. There was a set of train tracks close by. I always thought it was run over.
