You guys make it look easy. Thats strange how the shank is on the front of the eagle one piece.

Nice historic save there . Qn the entire hunt sweet. Those days are few and far between very nice :coffee2:Rob

Very Nice Josh!!! Like that seated. I'm interested in those buttons with the shanks on the front that you and Jeff both recovered there. I assume they were manufacturing errors??? HH, Quindy.

Love those eagle buttons! congrats on another good hunt Josh

Buttons are good and so is any seated.
The costume is stellar! You look so serious.

Yes it did, Yes it should  Yes I'm quite partial to that uniform. It's a complete regulation issue reproduction and I've used it in movies, plays, and reenacting......I haven't gotten to wear it in awhile and felt good to don the gray again! :) 8)

Well the biggest that most people would probably know was Gods and Generals (the prequel to Gettysburg). Also in April 1865 (History Channel), The Civil War in Hampton Roads (PBS), The Bloody Angle (Independent Movie), and also in "The Contraband Slave Camps" a very big regional play on Union General Butler's interactions with the Confederates here in Virginia.

Josh,
If I walked up on you dressed like that for Halloween I'd throw my bag of candy at you and run like h-ll!!! :o :laughing9:
Excellent haul on the buttons. Most people (like me) are happy scoring just one. I'd soil myself if I found that many.
That eagle button with shank on the front is a super find indeed.
I've never seen a Hammond Turner & Sons back mark, but here's some info for you.
A big congrats Joshmeister! :occasion14:
