Hey everyone! Got out for a 2 hour yard hunt Saturday and found the 63 Washington and Wheaties (37, 44, 51D). Got out today to a local sidewalk tear out. Those sidewalks sure are hard on Coppers, Ended up with my oldest Seated Dime to date - 1857. Didn't think it was gonna clean up. Tried my electric jewelry cleaner and even a hot peroxide bath. Finally, ended up using a baking soda paste and that did the trick - Thanks for the tip postalgriff!! The Coppers didn't clean up so good.....Toasted no date Canadian Large Cent, 2 crusty Indians (1876 and 1905), some other toasted holed coin (Canadian I think). Thanks for looking and good luck getting out before the ground is too hard!

View attachment 908408 Sweet old bottle Wolverine - did you find in the river? - I was reading online that Toledo Bottling Works started in 1838.

Sweet finds, Brent. :icon_thumleft: Congrats on the seated! WTG on the other coins, crusty or not. What is the round object to the right of the bottle bottom? Glad you're still digging.

Yea I found it the river this past summer. The embossing Reads Green Seal Select around the elk head. Mine was a blown crown top so it's around the early 1900's.

Thanks Anne! Not exactly sure :dontknow: - I believe it is brass and seems to resemble something I could imagine off of the top of a bed post or something
