This place has been a hot bed for coins and buttons. Some relics too.
Coin and button running total: 7 buttons, 12 1/4 coppers, 2 silvers, an 186_ shield nickel, a random 1950s wheaty and a President Taft token.
Been stopping sometimes for like 75 min after work until I run out of light. From research it looks like the home site was gone by 1876. Lot of the finds have clear fire damage. The spill of the two belgium centimes coins and little copper was melted together. Just like the first coin spill I found in here. This time I actually got the three coins apart. Unfortunately date side has little details. But given the age of the buttons that have come out and dateable coins it's pretty likely the Belgium centimes are king Leopold the first dating them 1833 to 1865. 1833 was first appearance of lion tablet reverse. 0 id on the little coin.
Little cut copper sounded like a pull tab. Or it's broken but looks intentional. No id on it.
Both buttons are a little burnt but can see whats left of extra rich on the back. Gilt at one time. Unsure on chunk of copper but it's old.
1838 large stars seated half dime is 😍 really sharp too. Sounded awful because there was a hot rock in the hole and I had sensitivity kinda high.
