Found this watch today for $3. Though it was interesting because I had never seen another vintage Sportsmatic with the luminous numbers. Put it up for auction since the only other one I could find was from Britain and seemed to do quite well. His was in much better condition though.

3 bucks is an awesome score! Love the stem at 4 o'clock. Hope it is ticking?

Ya it looks like it is. The second hand is is going but it looks like it stopped once for a bit and started back up since the time was a bit off. Already had people message me to put up a BIN but others have already started bidding and I wanted to see what it does at auction.

It kept good time for the last hour so maybe I was off with when I though I had set it before.

I like finding old Seiko's. Still searching those thrift stores hoping to find me a vintage Grand Seiko for less than ten bucks in a Goodwill.

Nice old Watch. The Seiko 5's are great movements. The only problem with them is the vintage 5's don't hold up their value because the new ones are so inexpensive. I think the new ones are $59. It's still a great find and I would love to find it myself.

I'm hoping that'll change in in the future, as I have several old Seiko 5's that I've picked up, but yes they don't seem to bring any large values as of yet. Still I like em. I do however think if you remove the old original bands and sell those you can at times get more than the whole watch would go for, but I'm not willing to do that.

There are some great looking Seiko 5s. I'm glad they are cheap, I plan on getting one or two.

Well I got $190 for it so not to bad.

Wow! Much more than I would have thought. Black dials always seem to get higher prices.
