Selling Gold & Silver Rings to Antique Stores

I am wondering if anyone has sold antique Gold and or Silver rings to antique stores? What kind of prices and experience you had?

I was involved in antiques back a ways and in my experience the dealers want to buy way low and sell way high.
Often they are only knowledgeable in a narrow range like knowing glass but not furniture. I would probably go to a jewelry or pawn store first.
Problem is the markup on any jewelry is huge and your stuff might not be worth nearly what you think.
To educate go to the jewelry industry's large supplier, Rio Grande's on line store and see how inexpensive much of the stuff is.
