The silver melt value for 90% silver dimes,( as of Jan 27th (friday) was $2.45 ea.

It doesn't matter what melt value is, If the seller wants a certain price more power to him/her. If you don't agree just don't buy them.

And your point is? I seriously doubt that whoever buys them will be melting them for bullion. If you want to play price police do it in a private message.
