I just returned from Pennsylvania after attending my Aunts Funeral. She lived in the House that my Father grew up in. While he and my other Aunt were finalizing funeral arrangements I stayed at the house and, of course, ran my detector around the yard. I found some clad and a pretty vintage make-up compact but nothing special. . . . until I got a deep hit that registered as a Quarter. I decided to dig it KNOWING that it was just going to be a big piece of junk. What I found floored me. It was my Grandfather's Miners Tag. He's been dead since 1976. It was an incredible moment when I placed it in my fathers hands. He was getting ready to bury his sister and I had just unearthed a fond memory of his long gone but never forgotten Father.
