Service Creek Church, along the banks of the Ambridge reservoir, was built in the 1700's. You approach the church and graveyard through a lane lined with pines. (The cemetery was named for Dr. John Anderson, the pastor from 1788-1810)
There are strange voices in the air and sudden thunderstorms come up at the drop of a hat, which end once you reach the end of the road. There's also a sense of being watched. One Civil War era ghost appears at his grave still lying in his coffin. The spirits there are supposed to want to communicate with the living. A few notes of warning – this is a popular lover's lane, so sorting out psychic manifestations from teenage shenanigans isn't easy. if you get off the road to investigate things, Because of its' reputation with the teens, the police in the area are pretty vigilant and strict. And finally, remember that the church and cemetery are still active. permission is a must
