We hiked a loooong ways down this canyon just checking it out for archaeological sites. You see a lot of flakes but hardly ever brokes or full points. We watch for places that could have been springs or overhangs that provided shelter and usually there's something to see around those.

Awesome hike it sounds. How were the crowd in the area?

Not much different than the regular tourist season, TR, lots of people from all over the country, and Moab was crowded. Campground had quite a few people. I didn't see cars backed up at Arches anytime though. We didn't see anybody else all day when we hiked down that canyon, but most people don't go down as far as we did.

Huh, It was relatively quiet when I went through there on August 25th. Maybe everyone thought they'd get away from all the smoke after I went through. I was heading to a copper mine at a place called the Lisbon Valley just south west of LaSal and there was hardly anyone around down there. This copper mine shut operations down when the covid situation hit, but now copper prices are somewhat coming back up again, so they're hopeful things may resume. I went to one of the uranium mines and all the offices were unlocked, but no one was around. I smelt something that smelled like it was a dead animal, so I decided I better get outta there. It was kinda eerie being at a place that seems like someone's around, but you hear or see nothing.

Awesome finds great place to hike
