Shallow water junk cleaner

I have read lots of ideas for dredges, What I want to do is clean areas along docks and shallow swimming areas of junk glass tin nails and stuff to keep the kids from harm. Thinking about a shopvac type thing wirh a strainer in the bottom soo all sand and dirt are returned to the bottom,keeping junk in the can,I know that the hose will have to be big and will still plug with large trash. probably weeds too. any wonderful ideas thoughts or warnings Thanks Bob Pm if you wish

you need to use a artifact dredge to clean up that much area. youll burn up a shop vac with that much use.and itll be slow.

Our DNR frowns on any extensime dredging. but my idea is to only remove junk, would a leafblower like someone suggested work ? open to any and all ideas. PM me if you wish. Bob
