Awesome stuff! I am amazed at how many PERFECT arrowpoints you come up with. I bet you literally have thousands.

Trade copper? That is too cool. You have a great site there.
Good luck next trip out.

You are prolific!!! I enjoy seeing your amazing finds.

Larson what is the very large bone? Just left overs from a buffalo ? Great finds . My ancients around here were poor and crushed every bit of bone for the marrow up until the last 500 years. Of course they did not have the great herds of Bison either.
So enjoy all the carved stuff. Just one bit of it would look nice in a frame.
Happy hunting sir and keep on posting.
Regards,

thanks every one
TN, the big shovel is made of a buffalo skull
it is one half of the horn where it is connected to the skull
the first image is the inside
the second image is the outside
can you tell which is part of the horn
I will explain further if needed
let me know if you have questions
I have seen about ten of these
I found another this morning but it was broke, it was still being used for quite a while as the polished edges were evident
I left it lay where I found it
I have found a few more that were a lot nicer than the one I posted
If you would like to see a few more I could find them and take pictures and post
thanks, larson1951

Yes the rough area towards the left of the picture. Similiar to a steer skull where the horn slips off the bone. That would be the handle right?. That would make a nice shovel for sure. They did not miss useing up the whole animal thats for sure,
The small notched point you find were used to harvest the bison?? Do you ever find a point in bone?
Sorry for all the questions just a diffrent culture than what I am used to.
Thanks Larson.

Tn, yes the small points were used for bison, elk, deer, bear and everything
and yes I have several bone points, do yo want to see some??
thanks, larson1951

Larson, great finds...I think Tn meant, do you find points lodged in bone...But I would like to see your bonepoints...larry

ok I see what you mean
I have not found a point lodged in bone yet
but hopefully some time I will
