Ship Deck Transom w Rosehead Spikes

Would like to know if anyone can give me a rough value on this. Looks to be a Deck Transom.
Around 8' L x 6.5-7" w x 3.5-4" thick. Has nice curvature to it also. Take a look and any info would be greatly appreciated.

well...that looks like rust so, no not nautical of any great age.

I don't know I would rule out it being old nautical just because of a forged iron spike. Old shipbuilding records indicate that hand wrought spikes were used on areas of the vessel where not exposed to corrosive effects of the sea. The hull for example would have had bronze spikes or some material that would stand the test of time at sea, but elsewhere, above the water line, hand wrought spikes were often used.

Thanks for the info. This piece of timber was found washed up on the beach. Don't know how long it laid there or how long the guy before me had it. I've also read that above the water line many of ships had iron spikes used in them.
