Got out on the water today. This old rusty shipwreck is in the Long Island Sound between Queens and the Bronx. At low tide the water is low enough that you can squeeze a kayak inside the hull if you wanted too (I did).

Inside. The bow is directly forward. There is another deck below the water.

Nice pics and great exploring.Legend has it that the builders of these ships got together a building crew on Thursday and supplied unlimited quantities of beer.On,Monday out rolled a new Liberty ship!

My dad said when he was a kid the WW2 fleet was anchored near jones point directly across from Indian point power plant
 

When I was a kid I lived in Whitestone Used to walk to that jetty and go fishing. I lived in Laharve apts on da 9th FLOOR [dont know if i spellt it right] We were facing the bridge

My first date was with a girl that lived in Lahavre. Can’t remember the floor but she has my football jacket I earned from Bayside HS
