Shoe Buckle? Clock Key? Can I Get Some Help?

Found at the same site, close to each other. I feel that they are a buckle and a clock key. Just want some other input. Thanks for looking.

What is the length of the key? Could you take a pic of the open end of the key. Thanks, Breezie

Breezie,
The key is 3 1/2 inches long with no opening in the end. It is blunt. Thank you for looking.

If there is no evidence where a blade was broken off, it might not be a 'key' per se. It looks more like some type of hinge pin. Breezie
