I was back in the woods first thing this morning, trying to get a little detecting time in before it got too hot. The find of the day was a beautiful colonial era shoe buckle. I love the design, and haven't ever found one quite like it.

The rest of the hunt was pretty slow, with a bunch of lead, old nails, a variety of modern trash, and 29 cents of clad. Just before getting back to my car, I was fortunate to find a very worn 1936 Washington quarter.

All in all, a very enjoyable morning! That's for taking a look.
