I was back in the woods first thing this morning, trying to get a little detecting time in before it got too hot. The find of the day was a beautiful colonial era shoe buckle. I love the design, and haven't ever found one quite like it.

The rest of the hunt was pretty slow, with a bunch of lead, old nails, a variety of modern trash, and 29 cents of clad. Just before getting back to my car, I was fortunate to find a very worn 1936 Washington quarter.

All in all, a very enjoyable morning! That's for taking a look.

Another item on my bucket list to find is a shoe buckle. I’d call that a great morning.

that's a cool design. I don't think I've ever seen one like it posted

Yeah it was HOT in MA yesterday SM. I contemplated getting up at the crack of dawn to get out in the woods for a bit thought better of it. :laughing7: Glad to see you got. You were rewarded with a nicely styled frame. I don't have any like that. Certainly not in one piece anyway. Nice find.
