Shoney's cabbage beef soup

Shoney's cabbage beef soup
1 pound ground beef 1 chopped onion
5 cups chopped cabbage 1 chopped sweet pepper
3 sticks chopped celery 2 cups water
2 cans red kidney beans,drained 24 ounces tomato sauce
4 beef bouillon cubes 1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper 1 teaspoon red pepper(optional)
Brown beef in a skillet with onion added.Drain fat,transfer to a stock
pot.Add chopped cabbage,kidney beans,water,tomato sauce,celery,pepper.
Stir in bouillon,salt,pepper, and red pepper, if desired.
Cook on medium for 4 hours or until done. Serve with oyster crackers.
Enjoy! Serves 10, unless you go back for seconds.

Mmmm Mmmmmm . Sounds good :headbang: I use something similar with corned beef .
