Short CW hunt Tn & Ga 2-27-11

Went to help a friend who is getting ready for surgery tomorrow and for being such a good guy she let me hunt her monster yard. I ended up only having about 30 minutes of daylight and found 11 of the bullets the knife and some strange oblong looking item that seems to have some type of fuse in the end All I ended up hunting was a 10x10 area. This was from a one time battle and was a rear guard position. I have pulled around 30 bullets from there in the past.
The other items are from N. Ga and Missionary Ridge in Chattanooga that I found the other day.
Nothing spectacular but fun hunting

Ohhhh...it's all good...even the Krispy Kreme doughnuts! I found a knife similar to yours this past week. But when I removed it from the dirt, the white looking part fell into tiny pieces.

I found a similar pocket knife a few years back at an old calvary redoubt in KS. The handle on mine is wood. The emblems are similar but on mine the tail? curves inward while on yours it looks to point outwards. Same or different manufactures? Mine was about 4". Have wondered if a soldier dropped it or if a wagon freighter lost it as at times there were up to 400 wagons that went down this road
