Relic Hunting
I had to go to Knoxville today to take care of some business and before I left I hunted a field we have been hunting that has been producing some relics. Today I got my first Enfield at this site. I believe it is Confederate as we are finding some fired CS bullets. I also got some more brass and one piece is a very solid brass piece about the size of half of half dollar. I have what appears to be a brass friction primer, side of a pocket knife, small post war bullets and other odds and ends. My excitement for the day was finding an oval plate that was folded over. I was really hoping it was a plate but it appears to be junk. All of my books are in storage so if anyone can ID anything I would appreciate it. I only hunted for about 4 hours. I am going to try to get one more hunt in before I leave for DIV next Saturday for seven straight days of hunting.

Looks CS to me Randy. Nice relics. HH, Quindy.

Thanks Quindy. We know where the Confederates were shooting from. We just have to get permisson to hunt there. It is between two pieces of property we already have permission to hunt.

Thanks. This field is very large and everything we have been finding has been in one small area.
