Did a short dig today and had some trouble with a tree and the ground that was like cement. Amazed we even got anything whole out of this. Only about 4 feet deep. The best thing to come out I think was this ground lip pocket flask. Thought it was just smooth until we flipped it over to see the Starburst design. It’s not the 1820’s style that we wish for everyday but still kinda neat. Stay safe out there people. It’s still smoking hot out. The Bromo’s are super common here in the Midwest. I dug a larger one as well. Donated everything to the floral shop that let us dig this spot. But yeah, I’ve only found one with the backwards Z. It’s a bit more rare. Cool window bottles. Thanks for the replies. Jgas.

New cleaned up picture of the sunburst flask. Question tho, the makers mark suggests it’s not too old. But the ground lip and blown in threads suggest a bit earlier. Everything in the pit dated to 1890s I believe. Any thoughts? Dang that's really awesome

is the rim ground? even if those bromos are common, you can't beat the color!

Hey Pikes, well I’m gonna try come Tuesday. Getting on an early 1870s house. Should be a good pit there I hope. Just worry about the possibility of a buried garage pad. We shall see. Thanks. Jgas
