Got finished with a job late and took advantage of the Spring forward daylight. Got an hour in and scored a couple Wheats and a Stainless Ring with an Eagle on it.

Did you find that long metal probe thing or do you use that for popping shallow coins out? I like that ring our mascot was an eagle in high school.

The long item very much resembles a brain spoon, used in taxidermy. I had several that were quite similar. This was in the day when we used the skeleton and wire to build a body. Now days you just order the right-sized artificial body and put the treated hide over it. I often made bird bodies from wire and “tow”. I’d use the skull to keep the true shape of the head. It was important to get the brains entirely out, so they wouldn’t rot; hence the brain spoon.

Here is an example. Mine looked more like yours. All metal. Some had knurled handles, some were wood handled, etc.
