Over thanksgiving I checked a new site out and managed to find a copper and a couple of buttons. I did find an old roadbed that I was looking for and knew it would eventually lead to the housesite and camp I was looking for. I decided that today was as good as day as any to check it out again. I only had about 2 hours total, and spent more time wandering around before finally finding the signs of a old homesite. These items came from around it - large 18th century button, .70 round ball, some brass and the item at the top. I do not think it is, but wanted you thoughts on Gorgets. I wish I knew these were connected as I would have spent more time looking for the remaining portions of it. they were found about 5 feet a part on a ridge where the ball came from. Need to take a better picture, it is thick cast brass, dished like a plate, with a slight rim.
Not bad, not a lot, but plenty to go back for.
