Got in a short hunt before 90+ degrees and Mr. Humidity kicked in. I've been hitting this property pretty hard over the last 2 weeks so the finds are getting a little more scarce.
Did manage to score a 1907 V Nickel & a 1908 IHP.
A tombac button that was practically lying on the surface.
The most interesting find is the thing that looks like a mini hubcap with the letter "E" stamped inside - any help on an id would be appreciated.
The large button has no identifying marks that I could see.
The piece of dinner ware isn't silver, but it does have a nice pattern to it.
Thanks for looking and happy hunting.

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Congrats on those unusual finds.

If my memory serves me correctly, the "E" item is an often found item posted on these forums, but there has never been a consensus as to what they are.

Trying to search the forums, but not coming up with anything. Can you give me an idea as to what some of the possibilities were so I can search the forums with a little more specificity.

Try scrolling through this thread, you'll see some very similar ones, and also some links to older threads. http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/what/594600-civil-war-site-modern-e-button.html

The particular one shown there isn't exactly like yours, but some in the linked threads are.
