After my dismal finds on Thursday I was a little depressed, but decided to do a short road trip after work on Friday. I stopped in at 18 banks on a ten mile stretch of a fairly major road. At 17 of those banks I picked up a total of $974 in CWR and teller tray, and it only yielded a lone 40%er. At one bank on the route, however, I picked up a clad half from one teller, and 5 rolls and $4.50 loose from a second teller. The loose were all 40%ers! I peeked at the end coin in each roll, and they were silver as well! I managed to wait to get home before opening the rolls. The first roll had 39 40%ers and a lone clad. The second roll was solid silver. The third and fourth rolls each had 39 silvers, and the last roll had 38. Total score from this bank was 104 40%ers!
I have only gotten two solid rolls before this, and that was over a year ago. It is kinda funny that rather than rejoicing in my haul, I was disappointed that the clad was spread out in four of the rolls. I kept thinking that I was this --><-- close to getting 4 or 5 solid rolls instead of one. Oh well, maybe next time
Total breakdown from the trip:
65 x 5
66 x 9
67 x 41
68 x 35
69 x 15
Total = 105 coins - 15.5 ounces of silver.
Happy hunting and a Happy New Year!
