Should I add matting?

Hey guys. I'm using an AM Expedition sluice and wondering if I should add matting to it. If so, what kind would you suggest? Thanks in advance for any guidance you can provide!

Personally, I wouldn't change a thing. When set up right, it'll catch the biggest and finest gold.
But if I were to do something, about all I'd do is add low v mat to the slick plate area at the top. Then you'd see if your digging in the right spot a little quicker.
